MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY
Morgan State University is a public historically black research university in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the largest of Maryland's historically black colleges and universities. Founded in 1867, Morgan State University originated as the Centenary Biblical Institute under the auspices of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Classes for the Institute were held first at the Sharp Street Methodist Episcopal Church in Baltimore. Morgan State University is third in the Nation in the awarding of Bachelor's Degrees to undergraduate engineering students
